When will federal tax forms be available?

  • You can begin entering your information for the current tax year in Ramsey SmartTax as soon as you receive your tax documents (like your W-2, 1099-NEC, etc.). The IRS typically opens and begins accepting federal tax returns sometime in late January.

Can I download federal tax forms?

  • Ramsey SmartTax’s four online filing options give you access to all the forms you need—there’s no need to download them. When you file your taxes online, you won’t need to mail a paper return, but you can print a copy for your records. Simply follow the instructions in the program to enter your info into each form.
